This face-to-face class provides an overview of flipped learning with specific examples from medical and science classrooms. This class also provides an introduction to flipped classroom planning and an overview of technology tools that can be used to simplify the process.
Upon completion of this class participants will:
- Be able to define and identify flipped classroom learning models;
- Have an understanding of how library instruction can be translated into a flipped model;
- Be aware of technology tools to facilitate the creation of videos and tutorials;
- Have access to high-quality and reliable resources for flipped classroom creation.
Participants are required to watch two short videos and complete one quiz before this class (estimated time 30 minutes) Introduction (10 minutes)

Activity 2: Flip Your Instruction (45 minutes) Participants will have time to transform a basic library instruction session into a flipped model.
