The Region 2 Webinar Series is offered by the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Region 2.  Speakers address various topics of interest to health science librarians, health care practitioners, librarians, and other health focused groups in the region. Topics include new and updated National Library of Medicine (NLM) resources, health equity, technology, bridging the digital divide, environmental eeterminants of health, confronting health misinformation, disaster response, health topics relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and many other subjects related to health science and health care. All sessions are online webinars using WebEx or Zoom and include live conversation and online chat. Sessions are recorded, closed captioned, and made available for later viewing.



Learning Objectives
Upon completion of each webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Apply new or updated National Library of Medicine resources and databases to their research practice.

  • Discuss information presented by experts from various health and library related fields on varying topics.

  • Evaluate new methods and programs to apply new knowledge to their own practice.

Agenda 
Each webinar will have a varied agenda. However, they will typically include a presentation on the topic presented, includes discussion, and ends with evaluation of the class.  Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length, but can be up to an hour and a half long.

Participants need only to have access to a computer with Internet capability and a phone. Most sessions are offered through the NIH WebEx or Zoom platforms.
