This course will provide an interactive tour of valuable health information resources from NLM and other reliable sources. The course will provide guided practice to help you become familiar with searching these resources.

The resources covered in this course will meet the needs of community-based organizations and AIDS service organizations, as well as others that need the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the management of HIV and AIDS.

This includes clinical trials, HIV/AIDS drugs, treatment guidelines, and medical literature.

Course Objectives

After participating in the activity, learners should be better able to

  • Identify high-quality, accurate, and authoritative online resources pertaining to HIV/AIDS information and related medical conditions.
  • Perform strategic search techniques to find HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention information.
  • Apply what you learn to your organization's culture.

Agenda

The course is an online self-paced course. Learner's will complete a pre-test prior to the training, conduct hands on demonstrations of six HIV/AIDS resources, and then complete a post-test.
