Systematic Review Services Specialization (SRSS)

Being a member of a systematic review team and advising systematic review teams are prized opportunities for health information professionals.
Level I
Acquiring Level I skills will enable you to play a central role in systematic review projects as a co-investigator with advanced literature searching skills and knowledge of the systematic review process. See the SRSS page for guidance on the order in which to take courses.
Level II
Acquiring Level II skills will prepare you to work on the full range of a systematic review tasks--utilizing and advising on software, preparing data for storage, collaborating to prepare protocols, developing a quality systematic review service, prepare manuscripts for publication, and critically appraise reviews for bias.

The SRSS Pathways: Special Offers for a Limited Time
To make earning your Level I or Level II SRSS certificate more affordable, from October 18, 2023 through May 30, 2024, MLA offers discounted packages of courses for each Level.
The SRSS Level I Learning Pathway: 8 Level I SRSS required courses and 4 electives needed to earn a Level I certificate at a discount of 30%, PLUS we waive the application fee (members: $99; nonmembers: $129) AND we include more electives and all the electives we add through October 2024, making the total savings more than 40%.
The SRSS Level II Learning Pathway: All Level II SRSS required courses and all MLA webinars and on-demand electives at a discount of nearly 30% of the total cost of the courses needed to earn Level II, PLUS we waive the application fee (members: $99; nonmembers: $129) AND we all the electives we add through October 2024.
You have until December 31, 2024 to complete your Pathways courses.
Non-MLA courses are not part of a Pathways. Network of the National Library of Medicine courses are free. The cost of other courses is determined by course owners.
