This online only class is an introduction to consumer health information and will cover concepts related to health literacy, the information-seeking behaviors of consumers, the basics of MedlinePlus.gov, ClinicalTrials.gov and other reliable websites such as drug and supplement information.

Familiarize and practice with the National Library of Medicine resources for disease-specific information, drugs and supplements, and other consumer health information resources

Agenda
4-week Moodle version (4 MLA CE):
This course consists of 4 modules. The length of time to complete each module is variable, but each week’s reading and required work should take between 1-2 hours. The course will be open for 4 weeks of instruction and at least one additional week for review. The modules are:

Facility Requirements
For this online course, students must have access to the Internet, with up-to-date browsers. Students will need to register for an account with the NNLM Moodle course management system.
