This 90-minute webinar explores the use of MeSH in the cataloging environment. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe the overall process of cataloging using MeSH 
  • Explain the principles of subject analysis 
  • Find information about specific terms and the MeSH hierarchy using the MeSH Browser 
  • Properly structure MeSH in a bibliographic record 
  • Explore topics that require special consideration or exceptions for catalogers when using MeSH  
  • Request changes to the MeSH vocabulary
