Librarians are pivotal in facilitating compelling learning experiences in the rapidly evolving education landscape. This course, "Strategic Course Design for Librarians: Unpacking the Power of ADDIE," equips librarians with the knowledge and skills to harness the power of instructional design to create impactful learning environments.

Librarians will explore the significance of employing instructional design frameworks to enhance their roles as educators and information guides. By recognizing the value of these frameworks, participants will be better prepared to adapt to the ever-changing needs of their learners.

A significant focus of the course is dedicated to the ADDIE framework: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Librarians will not only become familiar with the distinct phases but will also delve deep into the practical application of each phase. Through a hands-on exercise, participants will practice developing a brief course outline, integrating their newfound understanding of the ADDIE model.

Librarians will leave with the ability to integrate the ADDIE framework into their professional practice, designing and delivering courses that maximize learning outcomes. This course empowers librarians to be at the forefront of educational innovation, adapting their services to meet the diverse needs of learners in a rapidly evolving digital age.
