Apart from asking important questions and providing resources on the subject, we have asked some experts in the field to share their experiences with launching data services at their institutions. And finally, we have laid out how to make a plan to launch services at your institution.

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

• Evaluate how an institution might fit with various data service approaches and models.
• Describe the stakeholders and groups to consider when launching and managing data services in libraries.
• Design an action plan to establish data services in their institution.
