A good data visualization communicates dense amounts of information quickly and effectively. This webinar will teach you the basic principles of chart design, skills that apply whether you are using sophisticated data visualization technology or tried-and-true Excel.

By the end of this session, participants will

  • Be able to describe basic design principles to enhance understandability of graphs and infographics

  • Know how to improve their own charts using simple techniques presented in this webinar

  • 45 minutes: elements of good graphic design;

  • 15 minutes: example of a graph makeover
